A Southern Story

I was so proud of myself last weekend in New York that I had a neutral enough accent that people seemed to think I lived there.  At least they acted surprised when I told them that I didn't.  So, I was doing well until these girls walked by -

There were 3 of them together, and they all looked so cute and layered and colorful.  I got too excited and said, "Can I take y'all's picture?"  As soon as it came out of my mouth, I was taken aback.  "Y'all's" isn't even a word in the South.  Fortunately, they didn't react the slightest bit and graciously let me take their photo.

Y'alls is too a word. And you should be proud of being from the south!
