How big are your sunglasses?

A couple of weeks ago, I finally bought my first pair of oversized sunglasses -

It took me a long time to get over the fact that these look very similar to the pair my mom wore in the 70's and then were heavily mocked in the 80's.  I felt like the style would soon change, so I only paid $12 for these at Francesca's.  My husband says that is $1 for every day they were in style, because in the last few days I have seen evidence on my favorite blogs that the tide is beginning to shift.  However, out of all of the sunglasses trends I've been through in my lifetime, these seem to be the most effective at actually doing their job.

I tried to get with that trend for a while. In the end, I just don't think my face could make it work, so I downsized.

I like your sunglasses, and I think the trend is headed back in that direction.

They look fabulous! I stubbornly cling to my big sunglasses and convince myself that I look JUST like Jackie O whenever I wear them (which is every day). Trend, schmend...they're a classic! :)

Jackie Os are so timeless that the plural of her name has come to mean big sunglasses. Your shop window self-portrait rocks!
