Analyzing Anthropologie

I had never purchased anything at Anthropologie until last week.  A lot of their clothes are shapless and never seem flattering when I try them on. 

The other day, I ran into this girl wearing a lace top I had tried on in Anthropologie during my last trip.  (I didn't even take pictures of it, because it made me look like an old lady.)  You can see that she tied it at the waist to give it more shape -

She said she often wears it with a belt.  She works at Anthropologie, so she knows all the tricks.  So, here is what I've learned about shopping at Anthropologie - ask for styling advice.
