Searching for the perfect (cute) travel shoe

In Las Vegas, the hotels and casinos are so huge that you have to walk miles each day just to find something to eat.  I end up walking farther than necessary, because I like to explore and shop.

On our shopping day, I wore my Arturo Chiang flat boots -

We walked through many casinos -

...to shop at Caesar's Palace -

My boots felt great until the 4th hour of walking.  Then, my feet hurt and my legs were hot.  So, I started to look at the feet of the girls who looked chic, cool, and comfortable.  I saw some running shoes (which I would rather not wear outside of the gym).  Then, I noticed a lot of cute tennis shoes - mostly Converse or Pumas like these -

However, I am just not in a sporty phase right now.  I also saw a lot of gladiator sandals -

I like them, but I don't think they would be comfortable for miles of walking.  Then, I started noticing a lot of cute and cool looking girls wearing these -

For every shoe you buy, Toms donates a shoe to a child in need.  So because they happened to have a store in my hotel and I liked the charitable donation, I bought a pair -

I think they looked cuter on all of those other girls, but they are growing on me.  And I feel like I am wearing bedroom slippers - even after walking for miles.

Do you have any other suggestions for me?

you would fit in with all my high schoolers...they love their Tom's! :) I kind of want the wedges.

I always have a hard time finding comfy shoes when I'm going to be spending a lot of time walking too. I usualy end up going with tennis shoes, chosing comfort over style. If I could find something equally comfy yet stylish, that would be great.

I'm glad to hear that, Lori. Maybe they will make me look younger - not older. I think they could go either way. They didn't have any wedges in the Las Vegas store. I'd be interested to hear how comfortable they are.
