Inpiration from Home Decor (plus a snake story)

I was recently inspired by this room pictured in House Beautiful  -

The Limited sweater, Banana Republic pants and shoes

So, here is the snake story.  We took the following picture not realizing there was a copperhead snake lurking nearby -

In case you didn't spot him, here he is -

Then, as if I wasn't already close enough, I stepped off the bridge -

Thank God I turned around before I stepped back.  When I finally saw him, I freaked out.  Then we recruited the gardener to take care of him.  I never knew fashion could be so dangerous.

Domino magazine (R.I.P.) used to do a feature like this every month -- fashion inspired by home decor. I liked seeing the monthly interpretations -- just like your blog post!

Maybe that is from where I subconsciously stole it. :)

Guess the snake was interested in fashion, also. so glad that you escaped unharmed.

Andy says you can breathe easy it's a banded water snake or could be a northern water snake. Not poisonous. But freaky none the less! I hate snakes. But you look darling! There is a new show coming on hgtv that takes a look at a woman's wardrobe for decorating inspiration/style. I think it's a fun idea either way.
